AGED PARMIGIANO REGGIANO EVENT

We are delighted to bring you a very special, over 50 months aged Parmigiano Reggiano wheel straight from Parma surroundings. Made from milk from “Bruna Alpina” cows, it is very creamy and consequently suitable for longer maturations. Join us for the opening and tasting of the wheel or come to try our special Parmigiano menu. Limited quantity of cheese will be also available for sale for special price (50€/kg) in La Bottega 13 and La Tartufata.

Montaribaldi winery from Barbaresco and 50 months aged Parmigiano

Opening of the Parmigiano wheel 10.11. Thursday 17:00 - 17:30 in La Bottega 13. The Parmigiano will be available for purchase at a special price 50€/kg.

To highlight the fragrance of the Parmigiano a special four-course menu will be served:

Montaribaldi winery at La Bottega 13

After two years break, Montaribaldi winery from Piedmont, Italy is back in Helsinki to present their latest vintages on Wednesday and Thursday.

17:00 - 19:00: Introduction and tasting of Montaribaldi wines with snacks (Vino Spumante Brut Millesimato 2020 Taliano Giuseppe – Roero Arneis DOCG Capural 2020 – Barbera d’Alba DOC Dü Gir 2018 – Barbaresco DOCG Palazzina 2017 – Barbaresco DOCG Sorì Montaribaldi 2017 – Barbaresco DOCG Ricü 2016 – Barolo DOCG Borzoni 2017 – Barbaresco DOCG Rio Sordo 2009, special edition)

From 19.30: Dinner – special “Harvest menu” (Roasted Red Peppers with Bagnacauda – Polenta “Rustica” with Fonduta and Truffle – Ravioli del Plin with Truffle – Roasted Veal, mushroom cream and Baked Potatoes with Arneis white wine sauce – Bönet with caramel sauce), pairing with 5 different wines.

Winemaker’s visit: Terrabianca

For the very first time – Terrabianca winery from Magno, Piedmont. 

Terrabianca is situated in the Langhe area close Alba where the Alpiste family runs the vineyards since several generations. The farm follows the traditional way to cultivate and produces first of all sweet wines Moscato d’Asti and passito of Moscato, but also red wine Dolcetto d’Alba, white wines Langhe Sauvignon and Langhe Favorita and sparkling wine Le Jeune from the local varieties. During the winery visit in La Bottega 13 we meet the young generation – Andrea, who will guide us through the wines. 

Tasting of Terrabianca wines (5x 8cl) paired with season’s artisan cheeses especially from the Piedmont area. Price 45€/person. You may also choose a single wine and enjoy it with our á la carte list dishes matched for Terrabianca wines during their visit.

Women of Wine

Wine lecture and tasting – selection of wines from four Women of Wine from Sicily, Toscana, Trentino Alto Adige and Veneto. Price 15€. (Event takes place at PRPE Prototype Design, Tehtaankatu 24 – accross the street from La Bottega 13). On Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 October from 16.30 till 18.30. The event is organized in co-operation with our partner Italian Trade Connections.

CHEESE!

Come and taste our classics: Beppino Occelli’s mountain cheeses and the innovative, lactose free cheeses from Fattorie Fiandino made with vegetarian (thistle) rennet. We are also introducing brand new Veneto DOP cheeses Asiago, Montasio and Piave made from mountain cows’ milk.

For this years’ Vappu we offer three types of take-away boxes that you can pre-order in advance and collect on 1st of May from our deli shop. (We are located in Ullanlinna located 10 min. by walk from Kaivopuisto/Ullanlinnanmäki – tram stop Kapteeninkatu, city bike station Kapteeninpuistikko).
